Disabling the Control Engine

CAUTION: When you disable a control engine, the strategy that is currently running stops and Sparkplug (if enabled) is disabled. Carefully consider all the consequences of disabling a control engine before you continue with this procedure.

There are 4 steps to identify serial devices that are connected to the control engine:

NOTE: This procedure requires a user ID with administrator authority.

1. Log into the groov EPIC processor using a user ID with administrator authority.

2. On the groov Manage Home menu, select Control Engine.

3. Select Disable. A warning message appears.

4. Select Cancel  to cancel this procedure and not disable the control engine OR Select OK  to proceed with disabling the control engine. 

CAUTION: Carefully consider all the consequences of disabling a control engine before you proceed.

When you select OK, in a few seconds, the Control Engine screen updates.

The information under the Status heading changes to:

  • Status = Disabled
  • Runtime = a green Enable button
