Using groov EPIC as a Modbus Master in CODESYS
Learn how to set up a CODESYS program to communicate from a groov EPIC, configured as a Modbus Master, to a Modbus/TCP slave device.
In this course, you'll learn how to set up a CODESYS program to communicate from your groov EPIC processor (Modbus master) to a Modbus/TCP device (Modbus slave) and work its I/O. In this course, the Modbus slave device used is an Opto 22 SNAP-PAC-R1, but you can apply these steps to most other Modbus slave devices.
Topics include:
- Overview and hardware/software requirements
- Creating a project
- Disabling user management
- Adding Modbus devices to the project
- Building program logic
- Downloading and running the project
- Quiz (to test your knowledge)
